iPage review

iPage is not only one of the Cheapest Hosting Service but  stands as one of the greatest successes in hosting industry .

A little background :

In case you are not aware, iPage is owned and managed by a group of experienced management team – the Endurance International Group (EIG). EIG has been around for more than 15 years and their hosting platform is currently holding more than 2 million domain names. The group also owns some of the biggest names in web hosting industry, including FatCow, BlueHost, HostMonster, JustHost, PowWeb, EasyCGI, StartLogic, Dot5 Hosting, VPS Link, and so on. I am not very sure on the exact numbers but I believe EIG is now the biggest web hosting/domain company on earth.

Anyway, this is just background story that does not matter that much.

As web hosting shoppers and users, who owns the company is not our main concern. What’s more important are: What iPage has to offer? And, is iPage the right hosting for you?

One of the factors that make Ipage better than the rest is cheapest Hosting service.

After testing and using more than 30 web hosting services, I spotted one thing essential: Most budget shared hosting providers actually offer more or less the same hosting options (unlimited hosting, free domain name, webmail, 24×7 supports, etc etc)

As we’re getting the same hosting features eventually, the cheaper the deal the better (provide that the host comes with reliable server uptime and satisfying customer service), right?

You bet! This is why I think iPage is awesome. iPage hosting offers what most other shared hosting suppliers offer (in term of both high quality and features), however it’s 76% to 450% cheaper than the others. For easy reference, here’s the comparison chart below . Notice how much money you get to save with iPage.

Biggest Pro’s of IPage :

1) Extremely Cheap (iPage = Cheapest Shared Hosting!)

Page is extremely cheap. And not that only it is cheap; it’s also reputable and reliable. So if you want a good host at an affordable price, iPage hosting is a go!

2) 30 Day Money-Back Guarantee

It’s always comforting to hear that there is a 30 day money back guarantee. Some web hosts play trickery and will not give your money back in full. Not iPage.

If you are not satisfied for any reason, you can get your money back in full. No questions asked.

3) 200% Green Web Hosting

It’s a good thing to know that iPage buys enough Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) to offset energy use by 200%. That’s the equivalent to planting 244 acres of trees.

4) 24×7 Uptime Monitoring

Support is cool, but what’s even cooler is not having to contact support the first place. That’s why network uptime is monitored 24/7.  If anything goes bad, support can react immediately.

iPage Feature List :

1) $100 Adwords Voucher :

Start advertizing your website instantly! You get $100 Adwords Voucher, $50 Yahoo & Bing Search Credit, $50 Facebook Ad Credit and Free Yellowpages Business Listing.

2) Free Shopsite :

Award winning ShopSite is one of the easiest-to-use shopping cart softwares for small to medium-sized businesses.

3) WordPress at iPageWordPress:

1-Click WordPress installation and compatible servers.

4) Site lock :

Secure your Site with Sitelock – You can find and fix malware issues and keep your site free of errors with Sitelock.

Pretty standard stuff here for most of the top website hosts, but it’s still a very robust feature set. iPage.com offers unlimited space and MySQL databases (great news for people working with applications or CMS programs that need the ability to communicate with MySQL), and the unlimited features keep rolling with the ability to host unlimited domains with unlimited bandwidth all from the same account.

For anyone who’s looking to host more than a single website or managing a business that deals with website hosting, this is fantastic news that will really save some bucks.

Speed and Uptime :

You can see the uptime chart below. For 30 days 100% is a great score! The level they aim at is 99.99%. I remember a downtime about two months ago. That lasted for one minute.

Let’s look into the uptime in detail. At the time of writing this review, iPage had 100% uptime for the last 24 hours, 7 days and thirty days as well. It’s a great score if you ask me. My WordPress installation loads fast enough as usual, no issues in this area.

That’s just a snapshot though. Consistently one of the best web hosts, iPage has developed quite the following in business and personal circles as one of the go to web hosting companies.

We highly recommend Ipage for both small and large businesses that need quick, protected, and reliable web hosting.

Conclusion: Is FatCow Hosting Recommended?

I am neutral on FatCow.

FatCow compares favourably with many other shared web hosting companies out there on cost. It has a competitive and simple price structure which novices are likely to appreciate. Its key focus seems to be getting small to medium sized businesses online with the right kind of support which makes this service ideal for internet newbies. The simple and effective site builder and support structure will appeal to those who have little experience of building a website, whilst the ability to install WordPress and other applications make it versatile enough to attract more experienced customers.
